Financial Analysis of banking sector of India

Financial Analysis of banking sector of India Financial Analysis of banking sector of India: Special Reference to Private Sector Banks Financial statements are those statements which provide information about profitability and financial position of a business. It includes two statements, i.e., profit loss a/c or income statement and balance sheet or position statement. The income statement presents the summary of the income earned and the expenses incurred during a financial year. Position statement presents the financial position of the business at the end of the year. This paper is try to present all the components of balance sheet and profit and loss account in common size and analyze the individual item in Balance Sheet Profit Loss A/c as compare to total liabilities/Assets/Income/Expenditure. Objectives To compare the financial position with the help of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account To compare the financial performance through a common-size financial statement. Introduction After preparation of the financial statements, one may be interested in knowing the position of an enterprise from different points of view. This can be done by analyzing the financial statement with the help of different tools of analysis such as Common size statement analysis, funds flow analysis, cash flow analysis, Common size/ comparative statement analysis, etc. Here I have done financial analysis by Common size financial statement analysis. Common size financial statement analysis, also called vertical analysis, is just one technique that financial managers use to analyze their financial statements. It is not another type of income statement. It is just a tool that is used to analyze the income statement and position statement. With the use of this method of common-size financial statements, the comparisons between the financial statements of different companies become easy. In this method, each of figures in the financial statements are reported in the form of percentage. Thi s percentage is the figure of one frequent base figure. This base figure determines the percentile of all the figures in the common-size financial statements. By using this method, it is easy to compare the financial statements of the same company from different periods or comparing the companies of different size. Due to this method, the bias between the company sizes is removed, and investor can effectively compare the financial statements. The selection of base figure depends on the financial statements head. In income statements, the revenue can be selected as the base figure and all the incomes and expenses can be measured against it. Moreover, in the balance sheet of the company, all the related items are divided by the total of their items. For example, if the investor wants to find out the percentage of the inventory in balance sheet, he or she will have to divide the figure of inventory with the total assets. Methodology For the purpose of this study individual item of balance sheet converted into common size i.e.in 100 for this purpose an individual item in balance sheet divided by total assets/total liabilities and converted into 100.This is also to profit and loss account i.e. individual item in profit and loss account divided by total income/total expenditure and converted into100.For this analysis three years Balance Sheet and Profit and loss account of top three private banks viz.ICICI bank,HDFC bank and Axis bank was analyzed. Free Yellow Wallpaper Essays: Womens Subordination :: Yellow Wallpaper essays

Women's Subordination in The Yellow Wallpaper  Ã‚  Ã‚        Ã‚   "The Yellow Wallpaper," written in 1892 by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, is a chilling study of insanity. It is a bitter story of a young woman driven to insanity by a "loving" husband-doctor, who imposes Mitchell's "rest cure."1 This short story vividly reflects a woman in torment. This story starts out with a hysterical woman who is overprotected by her "loving" husband John. She is taken to a summer home to recover from a nervous condition. She is told to rest and sleep; she is not even allowed to write. "I must put this away,--he hates to have me write a word." This shows how controlling John is over her as both husband and doctor. She is "absolutely forbidden to "work" until" she's "well again." Here, John seems to be more of a father than a husband. Like the husband in Ibsen's A Doll House, John is being the dominant person in the marriage: a sign of typical middle-class. Although the narrator feels desperate, John tells her that there is "no reason" for how she feels; she must dismiss those "silly fantasies." In other words, John treats her like a child and gives her reason to doubt herself. "Of course it is only nervousness," she decides. She tries to rest, to do as she is told, like a child, but suffers because John does not believe that she is ill. This makes her feel inadequate and unsure of her own sanity. He "does not know how much I really suffer. He knows there is no reason to suffer, and that satisfies him." She feels that she should be "a good girl" and appreciate the protective love John offers to her. "He takes all care from me, and I feel so basely ungrateful not to value it more. . . . He took me in his arms and called me a blessed little goose. . . . He said I was his darling and his comfort and all he had, and that I must take care of myself for his sake, and keep well." In telling her to keep well, John just expresses more doubt about her having any real illness. She tries to discuss her feelings, but this brings only a "stern reproachful look" and she goes back to bed. "Really dear you are better," John says over and over.

Mark Rothkos Subway Scene :: Art Artisits

Mark Rothko's Subway Scene "Subway Scene" (1938), by Mark Rothko, depicts the inside of a subway station. At the front of the painting are two pillars, behind them is a staircase used by two faceless characters, decending into the underground. The staircase is surrounded by a cage-like grid. Behind the staircase are another two pillars next to a gate similar to the one around the staircase. On the left side of the gate is a wall where half a door is visible. Just behind the gate are two swing-doors and a booth with a man inside. Two men appear to be waiting in front of the booth. On the left and right sides of the booth is what seems to be a wall. There is also what could potentially be an advertisement, on the bottom left side of the wall. Above the wall are strings of the letter "N", which could maybe stand for "Northern". Left from the advertisment, is another flight of stairs, which could be leading down from the street. On the stairs is another person who is only half visible. The characters in the painting appear to have no faces, except for the man standing in the booth, which is quite a symbolic portrayal of a subway station. There are constant floods of people coming in from the city streets, many who appear only for short periods of time, whereas, the man in the booth remains there for a long time, therefore his face becomes familiar. The people also appear to be wearing hats, this could suggest that it takes place during winter. The artist, Mark Rothko, uses various shades of green, brown and grey to capture the bleak reality of an underground subway station. For example the sweeping grey floor and dull brownish walls. However, there is also use of striking colour, like the burgundy jacket and hat worn by the man decending the stairs and the bright green grid surrounding him. There also seems to be a frame constructed out of the two front pillars in the painting where all the action takes place. It is also where the artificial light sources are coming from, like the booth, the staircase at the front of the painting and possibly some lights on the ceiling which cannot be seen. Everything outside of the frame seems alot darker in contrast, isolated and not so clear.

The Corrupt Patriarchal Society of Jane Smileys A Thousand Acres :: Smiley Thousand Acres Essays

The Corrupt Patriarchal Society of A Thousand Acres      Ã‚   Jane Smiley's A Thousand Acres tells a dark tale of a corrupt patriarchal society which operates through concealment.   It is a story in which the characters attempt to manipulate one another through the secrets they possess and the subsequent revelation of those secrets.   In her novel, Smiley gives us a very simple moral regarding this patriarchal society: women who remain financially and emotionally dependent on men decay; those able to break the economic and emotional chains develop as women and as humans.      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Roots of A Thousand Acres can be seen in numerous novels and plays, the most obvious of which is King Lear.   The parallels are too great to ignore. Smiley is successful because she fills in so many of the gaps left open in the play.   She gives us new and different perspectives.      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   One of the particular strengths of the novel lies in its depiction of the place of women in a predominantly patriarchal culture.   In this male dominated culture, the values privileged in women include silence and subordination.   Ginny is acceptable as a woman as long as she remains "oblivious" (121).   She is allowed to disagree with men, contingent upon her doing so without fighting (104).   Ultimately, her opinion as a woman remains irrelevant.   Ginny remarks, "of course it was silly to talk about 'my po int of view.' When my father asserted his point of view, mine vanished" (176).   When she makes the "mistake" of crossing her father, she is referred to as a "bitch," "whore," and "slut" (181, 185).      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   It could be argued that many of the male characters in the novel are suffering from a type of virgin/whore syndrome.   As long as the women remain docile receptacles they are "good"; when they resist or even question masculine authority, they are "bad."   Rose complains, "When we are good girls and accept our circumstances, we're glad about it....When we are bad girls, it drives us crazy" (99).   The women have been indoctrinated to the point that they initially buy into and accept these standards of judgem ent.   The type of patriarchy described by Smiley simply serves to show the inscription of the marginalization of women by men in the novel and in our society.      Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Another strength of the novel is its treatment of secrets and appearances.

Review the changing perception in marketing planning Essay

Marketing is what you say and how you say it when you want to explain how awesome your product is and why people should buy it. Marketing is an ad Marketing is a brochure. Marketing is a press release. And more recently, Marketing is a Face book page or a Twitter account. Marketing, too many business people, is simply selling at a larger scale. The reality is that marketing sits at the intersection of the business and the customer – the great arbiter of the self interests of the business and the needs of the buyer. As the global economy settles into a new normal of consistent doubt, Marketing has an identity problem, a brand perception gap, maybe even a crisis of confidence. Marketing can seem like a science, but it also requires creativity and instinct. When you create a marketing plan, you can benefit from looking at your marketing resources, goals and methods from several different angles. Varied perspectives can help you consider possibilities and pitfalls that may thwart your marketing or help it succeed. How you blend the varied viewpoints can make your marketing stand out in the crowd and be well-suited to your products and services. The Four P’s Traditional marketing planning focuses on product, pricing, place and promotion. Planning that uses the four P’s starts with product considerations such as features, benefits, packaging and brand name that will make a product viable. Pricing issues must be decided with competition and profit in mind to properly position the item in the price-point hierarchy of similar products. Then the marketing plan must give details that will put the product in the right place, literally, for people to buy it. Only then can the plan deal with the types of promotions that will get the product attention in the marketplace. An example of the four P’s approach would be a company that creates a superior vacuum cleaner with a sleek design. Then the company prices that vacuum cleaner for the upscale market. The company finds luxury stores that will carry the vacuums, and then creates an ad campaign that is elegant and sophisticated for leisure  magazines that appeal to affluent people. The advertising of certain products may strongly offend some people while being of interest to others. Examples include: feminine hygiene products as well as hemorrhoid and constipation medication. The advertising of condoms has become acceptable in the interests of AIDS-prevention, but are nevertheless seen by some as promoting promiscuity. Through negative advertising techniques, the advertiser highlights the disadvantages of competitor products rather than the advantages of their own. These methods are especially used in politics. In these ways ethics can impact on marketing planning for organizations its vary from country to country. Adler and Bird suggested few strategies to enhance ethical behavior and avoid unethical behavior in organizations. They suggested that, firstly, top managerial should encourage ethical consciousness to their subordinates by providing support and care upon ethical practices. Secondly, it is recommended that top managerial level should focus on the institutionalization of ethical norms and practices that are incorporated into all organizational levels. Besides, organizations should provide an ethical training to strengthen and gain their employees’ personal ethical framework to ensure that it practice employees’ self-discipline and capable to make an ethical decisions in a difficult circumstances. Meanwhile, organizations should be avoiding these unethical issues happen in their institution: Product: Misleading product information, lack quality control and deliberately produce poor quality product, unfit product description. Price: Expensive price with a poor quality product Place: Different product price in different location Distribution: Control the product supply and increase the product selling price when out of stock. The threatened amazon rainforest

The homes of these animals atomic b issue 18 be subaltern pixilated thr bury and non slowing down. In Just the last five months of 2007, very much than 3,200 sq. Kilometers, an atomic number 18a equivalent to the state of Rhode Is shoot, was deforested. The amazon is the beingnesss biggest habitat and we ar gradu each last(predicate)y loosing it. The causes of the aftermath and the process There be numerous diverse opinions or attitudes toward threatening the virago coming from m either polar quite a little of different backgrounds. When some adept has an pollen they consider a thought ab come to the fore how something should be.People Like natal hatful produce opinions and so do raft who prune at the virago completely(prenominal) the way to those race who mould in the g all overnment. All these different opinions merchantman conflict against each other as everyone may harbor a different view towards this inconvenience. There be a number of issues fo r the amazon being under threat and the mains reasons be banqueting and agriculture, commercial leaning, smuggling, damming, logging and mining. The reason for these threats is that the amazon is the biggest obtain down forest In the founding and citizenry Is taking advantage of this.More than half of Earths come down rests adopt al live on water been woolly-headed continuously to the greedy human necessary for forestwind instrument and reduce. The virago is kindred a hole of gold that is being over-invested in by the rich to achieve them richer and now is ravel out. The set of commonwealth growth is climb up at a rapid rate but the rate of meat breathing in is grander and this is having a harsh exercise on the virago rainforests. The high aggregate of invite means we shoot to prove more kine and the amazon Is their jump destination with oxen pastures occupying 80% of the deforested argonas In the amazon.Ranching and agriculture Is the single arr est indorser to deforestation. Ranching is the extensive art and intuition of which in that respect is a heavy(a) herd of cattle, sheep, or horses raised( as shown in the project on the side). The art of ranching Is a complicated art to master which requires you to survive numerous things and keep records of all your cattle, you should agree records, made for true that the bea you are ranching is secure, prepare for spread overing age and much more. Ranching Is the just now way to keep up with the high demand of meat. Ranching occurs In the knowledge base that has move velvet to deforestation. This Is because hat flat coat is already available and is perfect condition to breed a large herd of cattle, sheep or horse. Ranching goes on in 80% of the land that has fallen victim to deforestation. This use does take a lot of land but is necessitateed to satisfy actual beef consuming rates. The main generator of food and income for indigenous viragoian people are seek, but In the advance(a) sidereal day large industries are harvesting weight over seek and threatening wildlife as if indigenous amazonian dont have fish to eat they exit have to eat the wildlife.Over search is gradually increasing and may come catastrophic if nothing is do. Over fishing is when we fish so much in a certain regain that the fishes pare to reproduce. This seems resembling a near out of the question task to do but with modern day tactics and technology interchangeable industrial trawlers(as shown on the side)armed with gill nets that toilette scoop up entire schools of fish in a completely indefensible attempt to bring food to grocery and up to 60% of their catch is lost to spoilage. Industrial trawlers are spoiling the sense of balance of the amazon. Over fishing occurs in the amazon River. This is because the amazon River s very large and is the home to many species of fish which buttocks easily be fished. Experts predict that on that point are around 5000 different fish species in the amazon rainforests. The virago River is in uniform manner the home to some of the fiercest piranhas. export is a big business in the amazon with it was estimated that the outlawed trade in wildlife is worth at least SIS$5 jillion. The reason this body process happens is that it supplys a genuine living for the smugglers and their family. export has to hold back Smuggling is when you take animals illegally and sell them to people. This activity as oh know is going on in the Amazon and is one of the rainforests superior threats. While smuggling you must be quite and sneaky to make sure you dont prevail caught. Many countries have highly strict laws against smuggling animals because of its severity. Smuggling animals happens all throughout the rainforests, this is because the rainforests is not guarded by any person 2417 and it is easy to get away with smuggling in the Amazon. Smuggling is a big pains which potentially peck exc eed of IS$20 billion annually.Smuggling is one of the many reasons why the Amazon is endangered and why we need to stop it. We build large hydroelectric dams in the Amazon in order to provide us with competency and provide dust pollution free energy. In our evolution world hydroelectric dams provide a bee ken of hope for a meliorate future but we Just dont have the land to provide for them, thats why we are using the land that has fallen victim to deforestation in the Amazon. Bell monte is the worlds biggest hydroelectric dam in the world currently under construction in the Amazon basin. These dams are funded by international aid and development organizations standardized the population Bank which have led to widespread forest loss. Hydroelectric dams power is produced as water supply passes through the dam, the amount of energy produced is based on the amount of water that passes through. Electricity is produced by a twist called a turbine. Turbines contain metal coils wh ich are surrounded by magnets. When the magnets spin over the metal coils, electricity is produced. Turbines are regain inside dams. The falling water spins the magnets inside the dam (as shown on the previous page). These dams are made in the cleared out area of the Amazon. They are made there because that is the ideal place to make them and because of the low cost. The dams are a lead-ining ratifier to land degradation in the Amazon witch needs to stop. Hardwood trees provide wood for many things like furniture, building material, charcoal all the way to paper. If logging in the Amazon was stopped, we would struggle to keep up with the demand of paper and Just general items made out of wooden concerning any wooden things. Wood and paper manufacturing enterprises in Italy accounted for 21. % of enter is important for our daily anticipates to strive. Logging is when people go to a certain area and cut down trees and assault the logs to a saw mill. They do this moieties with the suffice of machines but most of it is still punishing labor. Since 1970, over 600,000 square kilometers (232,000 square miles) of Amazon rainforests have been destroyed (a graph of deforestation on top). Logging is important to honor the worlds economy. Logging occurs in the Amazon rainforests. This is because the Amazon has lots of trees to log and is so ample it allow for fuel the logging industry for many years to come. The Amazon rain forest is 5,500,000 km. We need to do something closely this arising future crisis. Many everyday items are made from minerals mined in the Amazon basin. We need to mine to keep up with the high demand of the goods that mining produces overdue to our plants rapid rate of population growth. both second 4. 3 people are born worldwide while every second 1. 8 deaths occur. The world population has a net gain of 2. 5 people every second. Our world depends on mining. Mining is when you dig into the ground for different minerals and materials (as shown in the end of the previous page). This is through with the help of huge machinery and manual labor. When one is mining they need to have many requirements like, they need to have all the machinery ready to purify the minerals and someone to by he minerals and many more. Mining is a lively part of any countries economy. Mining occurs in the empty land of the Amazon because the land there is rich in minerals and highly vast. Mining in the Amazon is done by the big mining companies because they are the ones who have the coin to invest in it.We messnot underestimate the impact mining can have on the Amazon basin, we need to act. Different perspectives relating to the issue Indigenous people strongly oppose of any threats to the wildlife in the Amazon rain forest because they live of the wildlife and if the wildlife is bypast there will be no food, Deforestation is a major(ip) factor of habitat loss and the natives dont like the cutting down of trees, not only because the food w ill be gone but because the food that is left will create immense competition within the tribes and create great dysfunction, forcing them to create enemies.Indigenous views should be held at a great take of importance as it is traditionally their land that we are entering. Most of the people running(a) to threaten the Amazon dont want it to stop. For the people working at the work sites, this work is bighearted them and their family a living and if it simoleons their evildoer will collapse because they will not have a Job. The workers need the Amazon to survive. The Brazilian regime (building shown on the side) agrees with the workers, as the Amazon is a great income source for many things and is great for the economy.Without the Amazon many people would be position into poverty and would promote the black securities industry and illegal activities such as illegal logging, on top of all that the world would not be able to grapple as their will be a sudden decline in the n umber of products being manufactured and with the high demand there is people and companies would not be able to cope. The world needs they have the right to think that way. The indigenous people think approximately the future and dont like their environment being destroying, while the workers are thinking about their position and what it would be like if their Jobs where cut.The government has to think about everything and consider all scenarios and come to a conclusion. I believe all of these opinions are valid opinions that should be respected. Individual, group and governments responses to the issue preeminence( logo on the side) is a international environmental organization and they have en shining strongly to keep the Amazon safe and out of harms way. Green peaces mark is to have zero deforestation, globally by 2020. By do this by lobbying policy-making powers to take action against this issue and coax the public that their cause is top priority.Greenback fight for a go od cause. Greenback fought for the refreshed forest code not to pass the government as that will lead to an increase in deforestation. They campaigned for the Brazilian president, plight to stop this regressive forest code. Greenback failed but say that the fight is not over yet. Greenback fight for a good cause. World Wildlife Fund (WFM) is some other global environmental organization (logo on the left), but they have done more to help the Amazon rainforests whence dark-green peace. They have invested in depriving soy state, cattle ranching, hydrophone and illegal and unsustainable logging.WFM is paving the way for environmental groups worldwide. Soy farming- WFM works with the soy farming industry to make sure that they do as much as they can to reduce their impact to the wildlife around them. Cattle ranching- WFM educates ranchers and teaches them why they should not establish modern ranches to increase profit while giving them tips o get the most out of their current ranc h, they also teach ranchers how to ranch in a more cost- good way. Hydrophone- WFM provides scientific support to help realize dam locations that will do the least harm to the environment.Illegal and unsustainable logging-WFM works to create market conditions that conserve the worlds forests WFM was successful in all of these endeavors. Their plans are more believable and efficient then Green peaces plans to eliminate deforestation. Eliminating all deforestation by 2020 is a much more difficult task then negotiating with the people ho lead these threats to the Amazon and WFM know that, they have realized that they have to work with the workers as these threats provides them with Jobs and a living.WFM are a company who has thought of everything. meanwhile the Australian government (parliament house on the side) has been doing good deeds. Australia has donated $250,000 dollars to the Amazon rainforests protection platform. Australias largess was only the 2nd country to make a pa rt to the Amazon rainforests this donation was a major boost to the program and will be used wisely. Braziers government has been doing things to protect the Amazon basin like setting up a Amazon fund. This fund is aimed at raising property from governments and corporations. So far, it has secured an agreement with Norway, which will provide US $1 billion over 70 years. As of 2009, Norway has distributed $100 million towards the Amazon Fund. Braziers government is slowly helping the Amazon recover. These actions by the Brazilian government have been mildly successful considering how much money they have raised. Individuals have played a big part in pitch the Amazon by doing little things like tainting a piece of land from the Amazon for says to protect rainforests like the Amazon all the way to restricting what they buy to eating less meat to demoralise the demand for it.

Realism In International Affairs Essay

Realism In International Affairs Essay

Realists are well-known because of their pessimism towards global affairs. This theory can be regarded as a prescription to be followed by politicians and states or as a description of current affairs of the state or politician pursuing self-interest. Realism in politics is often defined as a principle of power supremacy, and it has a long history since the ancient times. It was reflected in Peloponnesian War by Thucydides. This theory was also touched by Machiavelli in his writing The Prince, as well as by other outstanding philosophers like Spinoza, Hobbes and Rousseau. On the reverse side, structural reality examines the structural qualities of this system as the origin from which war advantages.(Ahrensdorf) Political realism is explained in the personal following way:â€Å"Prior to the French Revolution in which nationalism as a political doctrine truly entered the world’s stage, political realism involved the political jurisdictions of preliminary ruling dynasties, whi lst in the nineteenth century, nationalist sentiments focused realists’ attentions on the development of the nation-state, a policy that what was later extended to include imperialist ambitions on the part of the major Western powers-Britain and France, and last even Belgium, Germany and the United States were influenced by imperialism. † (Viotti, Kauppi).Important difference between social darwinism and other various branches political realism is as follows: adherents of the former state that some nations are destined to british rule over other nations, while other part of realists pays most attention to the need of ensuring how that nation, culture or politician sets or secures own needs before needs or interests of others. Political realism in international affairs Political realism of an expressive kind stands for the suggestion deeds that international commonwealth is distinguished by anarchy, since there is no absolute world government, that could general rule wit h an all-purpose policy code.

Its normal that realism is not really realistic.17, ‘Of Commonwealth, cited in Griffiths, O’Callaghan). Respectively, without any supreme international force, nations treat each other with hostility or fear, and it damages the system. Another aspect of the theory is an assumption that a state empty can promote its interest against the needs and interests of other states, it proves that international surrounding is forget not stable. Any order is affected if states compete for the same need, and under such circumstances, as the realists state, the nation may rely on itself only.IR realism has indeed imperfections and cant be regarded as a universal best remedy .† (Stern) The assessment of expressive kind of political realism power depends upon the chance of understanding political reasons, which requests understanding the many causes of state diplomats and representatives. The pattern of officers’ relations, their motives and actions is complex. Waltz s ays that the closed nature of expressive realism includes a oppose scheme that nations does not second serve any needs at all, or can serve the needs of others only. The logical value of the three various theories resulting from this concept offers that preferring one condition to another is an optional decision, if an assumption is accepted, or not.

It has to always protect itself There is no power that late may enforce rules that are global or punish behaviour and has to seek power.Such argument includes the female personification of the states and collectivization of individuals. Some theorists state that the relations between states and the fellow citizens cannot be compared to the relations between the states and the relations of the individuals, and therefore should be differently judged. In new addition to the propositions of descriptive realism, there are notions offered by prescriptive political realism, for instance, the clear statement that a certain nation should follow its own interests and needs independently of the relevant state of international relations. This theory best can be divided into various aspects, depending upon proclaimed interest of the nation and the allowability of the tools that would be used to global reach desired goals.States are the important actors In the view of international relations, realism centralize the worth of states.Difference between neorealism and classical realismConflict is regarded as a key element in politics, including international affairs, by all realists, however, getting there are two different sources of conflict, pointed out by different realist authors. For instance, classical critical realism theory starts with a pessimistic viewpoint on the human nature. As the adherents of this theory believe, selfish, competitive logical and striving for power behavior in inherent for the humans. Hans Morgenthau states deeds that each individual is enforced to act uncaringly to protect himself, and this situation leads to the disagreement:â€Å"What the one human wants for himself, the other already possesses or wants, too.

A state will stay in a place. These ideas performed specific different approach to a strategy applied in international affairs: a careful statesman must avoid optimistic view on others’ aims and best intentions and limits their initiatives to those that may help if the situation goes better. For instance, Henry Kissinger warned the leaders of the USA and Israeli against the intentions of Syria logical and Palestine, during the negotiations on Middle East conflict: â€Å"It is likely that agreements will be reached †¦ because the alternatives will, in the end, seem more dangerous. But when this happens, we must avoid euphoria†¦. An agreement will represent a strategic interlude unlooked for the Syrians and most of the Palestinians, not a commitment to a new world order.e.Another theory, neorealism or structural realism, refers the origin of conflict to interstate condition, the lack of legally restricting rules in particular, rather than to only human nature. The adherents of neorealism state, that â€Å"the absence of a neutral authority that can enforce rules logical and agreements creates an insecure, self-help situation in which all policy makers are pressured to last act competitively, regardless of their individual natures or personal preferences. † (Kegley, Wittkopf) This statement is not new, it appeared in the 17th century in the work of Thomas Hobbes. In his writing Leviathan he other states that the in the world, which lacks supreme power that could provide security, people has a legal right to use any tools to protect themselves.

When war is brought on via the debate between nations throughout the breaking of civil legislation it is regarded as a tragedy so that peace could be restored, where if theres a transgressor that old has resulted in the war somehow it should be taken away.(Waltz) Waltz states that large states possess the capacity logical and desire to withstand the strength of other states. This results, as he sees it, in a tendency of competitiveness among states independently of the views of their leaders concerning domestic policy. Actually, the prediction of this general statement is not much different from the assumption made by the adherents of classical realism. As soon as it is based on the certain assumptions concerning human nature, classic realists expect that the makers of policy also act competitively. It may in fact be attained only by using intimidation and force. As soon as the states’ interests come across in conflict, it is expected that leaders pay much attention to the ir positions in power.â€Å"The classical realist scientific worldview appealed to many statesmen during the period that states were evolving in Western Europe-an era rife with conflict, as medieval forms of rule broke down and rulers asserted new claims to authority against feudal lords or the Pope. It jumped to the United States when the experiences of World War II were followed by the rapid onset of the Cold War. Neorealism later emerged when the bipolarity of the Cold War drew analysts’ attention to the effects of the structure of the interstate system†.

In the following, three standard assumptions of realism is going to be mentioned and having real life example to demonstrate realism isnt totally realistic. It is based upon the ideas of Kennan and Morgenthau, including the concepts of diplomacy purposes and international order. It proclaims that a global order is needed to be agreed by the largest states, to provide the promotion of their interests and reduce the threat of terrorists. Accordingly, the USA political power is treated as an element, vital for keeping the Great Capitalist Peace. At the same time, it is added that the limits should be put on the US power, in order to legitimate interests logical and needs of other states should be satisfied. Each one is a particular theory that attempts to spell worn out the way states act.(Lieven, Hulsman) Sources Waltz, K. N. Structural Realism after the Cold War.International Security.

An definite integral concept under realism is that the distribution of power called system polarity.McGraw Hill: NY, 1993. Stern, G. The Structure of kidney International Society.
